 e. Following the incident that affected over 70\,000 customers and closed 
 Heathrow for 24 hours\, the response is focused on activities to strengthe

 n is the TO for Energy Resilience and Security at NESO\, providing deep te
 chnical insights\, leadership and co-ordination activities to develop the 
 GB’s whole energy system ability to anticipate\, withstand\, respond to an
 d recovery from all manner of shocks to the energy system.\nOver 30 years 
 of wide-ranging experience in the GB energy industry in technical\, operat
 ional and strategic planning roles\, as well as a three-year secondment su
 pporting BEIS (now DESNZ) during Brexit\, Covid-19 and the start of Ukrain
 e conflict.  \nWith a strong focus on energy resilience and security\, Joh
 n collaborates across industry groups\, and champions inclusive practices 
 within NESO. His work combines expert technical insight with broad sector 
 understanding to ensure the GB energy system is secure\, affordable and su
 stainable.
